4 men and women who spent the best days of their 20s together meet for the first time in 7 years. Reminiscing about the past, they find that they’ve lost their easy laughter and dreams amidst the daily grind. As they find consolation in memories of the past, a miraculous moment allows them to envision a future again…
In Korea, those in their 20s and 30s are now called “the generation that has given up 5 important things”. These things are what were once symbols of a robust adult life–romance, marriage, having a child, a social life, and buying one’s own home.
Though Korean melodramas prior depended on scenes of budding romance or a tearful breakup, “Moment” will focus on the rare moment when two lives overlap, thus deeply illuminating the relationship and the process of building intimacy.
Shooting location has been confirmed after the 2015 Busan International Film Festival BIFCOM Business Meeting, where we had successful meetings with the Fukuoka Film Commission and Saga Film Commission. Currently we are working on a screenplay set in three locations: Busan, Fukuoka, and Saga. We aim to secure international coproduction with regards to conceptualization and investment for development.
